Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Wonders of The World and boy, is it wonderful! I visited the largest waterfall in the world around August 2018 and there was nothing about Mosi-oa-Tunya aka The Smoke That Thunders, as the locals call it, that didn’t blow my mind. The water from the falls is so powerful it literally commands one’s attention and drenches one in water from as far as 150 meters from the main falls.
I visited the falls with My Husband and we were never short of activities to do, the place is buzzing with tourists and things to do. Part of our itinerary included the following:
- Elephant-back riding
- A Tour of The Falls
- A Zambezi River Sunset Cruise
- A Helicopter Ride Above The Zambezi River & Vic Falls
- A Tour Of The Victoria Falls Bridge (very scary!)
We stayed in the small Victoria Falls Town in Zimbabwe, at The Kingdom Hotel which is a walking distance from the falls but for our other activities, such as the tour of the Victoria Falls Bridge, we would cross over to Zambia.
The only downside about this trip was how expensive everything was because Victoria Falls Town is such a huge tourist destination – we paid for everything, at tourist-inflated rates, in US Dollars.
